I was able to create English, French and German invitations with the same design for no additional cost. If you were to order these from a stationery company or one of those big books, there would be an additional charge for the language change. All I ask is that you help me with the language, and read everything very, very carefully before we go to print!

Well we were MIA from weddings over the course of the Olympics but for good reason! Jen had some great opportunities working at CTV photographing celebrities and best of all the medalists! We also went to two victory ceremonies and they were amazing. It was truly spectacular to see our city transformed into a world class host that welcomed everyone from every country. Enjoy the photos and pass them on!

We watched the Men’s Hockey Gold Medal Win in Robson Square. Of course watching it on your TV is fine but when watching it on the street with thousands of people, next to a NHL scout, in the sunshine the moment couldn’t be beat and won’t be forgotten. When Zac Parise from Team USA scored and tied the game with 24 seconds to go, you could have heard a pin drop, I think time actually stopped, birds stopped flying, cars stopped driving, we stopped breathing. It was tense. When Crosby scored in overtime everything erupted EVERYTHING! The following photos are from the fantastic chaos in the hours that followed. We are so proud that we did own the podium, no matter what any politician says. Amazing games. Thank you Vancouver, Thank YOU athletes!

Woohoo!! PANTONE® 15-5519 Turquoise!! I love this colour for invitations. I’ve been designing a lot with a matte colour called Lapis this year. It’s a dark blue, almost black shine paper and it looks beautiful with a pearl shine card on top. Turq accents OMG gorgeous!

Turquoise with Yellow is another combination I love. This colour reminds me of the waters in the Caribbean, especially in Aruba! You just need a daiquiri in your hand!!

Laura was much fun to work with and I always love it when brides want to use colour in their invitation design. One of Laura’s favourite things is Alice in Wonderland, we didn’t go crazy on the invitation with the Mad Hatter inviting everyone to the wedding, but used subtle references to the classic novel. The beginning of the invitation reads, You’re invited to a very important date… And my favourite item are the envelope seals that say Open Me!

Jen and I are also photographing Laura and John’s wedding so we are really excited to get creative with them. (Tea party anyone?!!) Congratulations Laura and John!

This wedding took place in the summer atop of Burnaby Mountain. After the ceremony we snuck Bride Kristy and Groom Travis away to the old growth, west coast trees that line the mountain road. The sun was really hot and so bright we wanted to photograph them in some soft natural light, the canopy of the trees provided the perfect cover for us. We shot them with telephoto lenses so they could act natural and we could capture this fantastic moment. One great memory we have is every couple of minutes yelling “Car!” This is as close to playing street hockey as Jen and I will ever get!

We used some beautiful photos that were taken of them in Hawaii and printed a gloss postcard. Gorgeous!

Connie and Eric want to Thank their guests for attending their fantastic wedding this summer.
I used a photo from their day and printed it on gloss postcard stock. Adding graphic flowers that matched their invitations on the back was the finishing touch!

We had our fab entourage with us. An amazing group of women that offered their time and services to this contest. Breanne styled Amanda’s hair in ways that would make any fashion model line up for. All of the beautiful glitzy and glittery jewelry pieces came from Stacy who is a Personal Stylist with Stella and Dot. Not that Amanda needed much more sparkle having just been married in August she still has the Honeymoon glow, but the assorted necklaces, rings and bracelets put a twinkle in her eye! Jennifer also showed two of her many talents by transforming Amanda’s makeup into the smokey eyed bride that looked simply stunning.

Jen and I want to thank Breanne and Stacy and most of all Amanda for being a fantastic model! We love being creative with our brides after the wedding, it’s so much fun and who wouldn’t want to wear their dress again?!!
