Wedding Invitations
Laura + John = Married! || Vancouver Wedding Photographers
What a day, what a day! A beautiful cultural wedding Irish and Portuguese it’s fantastic when couples include their family traditions and include their own details to make their wedding day unique to themselves.
John and Laura said I do in the beautiful Holy Rosary Cathedral, in Vancouver on June 12th. It was a beautiful ceremony and the Vancouver weather cooperated with us and shone stunning light through the stained glass windows. After the ceremony we had some sweet treats at cupcakes on Denman, this is Laura and John’s favourite shop so it was great to stop in for a few minutes. When we walked around the Sea Wall the bridal party was showered in cheers, whistles and yells of congratulations from all the sunbathers!
Occupations: Laura – Financial Services Manager, John – Financial Planner; How did you meet? We both worked at the same bank and branch; What Attracted him to Her? Her eyes and her gracefulness; What Attracted Her to Him: His kindness, easygoingness; First Date: English Bay in the summer; Where You Got Engaged: The Boathouse in Port Moody; Favorite Moment: Seeing each other for the first time on our wedding day; Unexpected Moment on Your Wedding Day: Walking through English Bay with the full wedding party and everyone clapping; The Day in Three Words: magical, lovefilled and beautiful; Advice for Other Couples: Don’t get caught up in the small details because not everything will run smoothly but it will still work out in the end, so relax and enjoy every moment of the day; Honeymoon: Mayan Riveria; First Dance: Green Day – Last Night on Earth.
Here are just a few of our favourites photos from the day. Enjoy!

A few late guests receive a greeting from Laura’s Dad!! That was awesome!

The photo on the left was Laura’s Mom and her Dad, it was important to Laura to recreate this photo with her Dad on her wedding Day…Check!

Okay, there is a reason we didn’t zoom in on the cyclists…It just so happened that a naked bike ride with hundreds of cyclists went by us as we were getting the cute romantic shots outside of the church. Jen and I mentioned something about getting “detail” shots which made us all laugh!

We matched the table names to the invitations and Laura’s theme of Alice in Wonderland. We also made a fantastic signing book from their engagement photos.

John’s speech made us laugh when he admitted to writing it on the back of the World Cup schedule!

Thank you John and Laura once again for letting us be a part of your day. We wish you all the happiness in the world!

Jenny + Tim = Married! || Vancouver Wedding Photographers
If there was an Olympic Medal given to a wedding party we would award it to Jenny and Tim’s wedding!
Jenny was one of the thousands of volunteers during the 2010 Vancouver Winter games and was so excited to tell us she knew exactly where she wanted to do her wedding photos, the Olympic Village. Having their ceremony and reception just down the street from the village at Villa Amato (above Mario’s Gelati), the Olympic Village was the perfect photo location and we were so stoked to check it out a week before the wedding. Unfortunately, when we went down to the location there was no access and gates up just like the Olympics! Gutted, we phoned Jenny to tell her the bad news, our new game plan was to drive to Granville Island for their wedding photos. But just as the sunshine came out after days of rain on their wedding day, the gates disappeared and we were the first wedding party to take photos in the village! The beautiful coloured buildings and city skyline just added to the beauty of this couple.
The flowers were gorgeous and designed by Jenny’s cousin who owns Rose’s Flowers and Gifts. They were stunning! Jenny and Tim were sure to add pieces of their personality all over their reception. From the Smurf and Hot Wheel cake topper to the custom m&m’s. Later on after the seven course Italian meal and the late night pizza there was a special treat of a gelati trolley for all of the guests. Free Gelati = a line up and a bride jumping in to help!
We love you Jenny and Tim and are so excited for you to see the photos! Thanks for letting us share in your day. Here are some of our favourites from the day. Enjoy!

Tim and Jenny’s “First Look” How cute are they? Because they saw each other before the ceremony, we were able to run around the village and find some of the most beautiful photo spots ever! Plus, Jenny & Tim got more one-on-one time together before the ceremony.

We see a magazine cover here…Now we know you guys practiced!

One of the best things, we think, is having two of us shooting your wedding at the same time. Above is Amy’s view of Jenny sitting in one of the cars and below is Jen’s view. Two photographers, two views. That’s a win/win!

The art of smizing.

mmmmm mint chocolate chip gelato and not a drop on the dress!

Keith Urban, Jenny’s favourite artist just so happened to have a billboard out side of Villa Amato!

The flower girls and their bubbles.

Tim and Jenny, congrats again!

Dana and Court are getting married! || Vancouver Wedding Photographers
Designing Dana and Court’s was so much fun. They are getting married under a walnut tree so that was the image we wanted feature on the invitation. I also wanted to bring in their other wedding colour a dark plum which finished off their invitation set.
My favourite piece is the RSVP postcard. Why? Because when the guests pick their meal choices they choose from an image of a fish or a cow. I’ve always wanted to do this and it looks so awesome!
I had a great time working with you both. Here’s an early congratulations!

We have been a bit MIA! || Vancouver Wedding Photographers
Okay bridal peeps, sorry we have been MIA for the last week but we have a new website very close to it’s debut that has taken up a lot of our time! Not to worry Daydream is here and always will be, this is another site to show everything “else” we do. It will showcase our photography work such as our Family, Kids, Sports, Fashion and loads more. Plus the design work that caters to other small businesses or corporate companies. We’re super excited and will let everyone know when it’s live so you can check it out!

Lisa and Kyle are getting married! || Vancouver Wedding Invitation Designer
The reason I started designing wedding invitations is because I wanted couples to have the freedom to add in personal touches that make their invitations their own. Afterall your invite is the first thing your guests recieve, the kick-off to your grand event…Do it with your own unique style!
This was the exact case with Lisa and Kyle. We met on a very cold and rainy night, over some Earl Grey tea they described their idea to incorporate their photo booth photo in their invitation. From there we were off and running with ideas!
This really is a popular accent paper colour this year the beautiful navy shimmer paper. Lisa and Kyle also used the matching envelopes which I customized their labels to match their invitations {and to make sure Canada Post could read the addresses}.
The best part of Lisa and Kyle was when I asked now is there anything else you would like to add to your invitations? Something that the two of you love? They exchanged glances and then Kyle said, “Star Trek”. At first I thought oh dear how am I going to work this in? But I love how it works on their RSVP card and how it makes it uniquely theirs.

Congratulations Lisa and Kyle!
