Gowns Galore! || Vancouver Wedding Photographers

August 5, 2010 by Daydream

So the grand meet up of present and past brides of Lisa Gregory Special Events and some of our models from the Eye Candy photo shoots happened the other weekend and we don’t think we’ve seen so many wedding dresses in one place other than a bridal store! All of the ladies looked fantastic and as the sun set in the field, {that Robyn’s grandfather let us use for the photos. Robyn was a past bride of Lisa’s and I did her wedding invites!} little did we know this was going to be an eventful night…

Okay Sam {Playful Bride} and Kerri {Regal Bride} we should have known we were in trouble with this first shot!

Sam takes a rest on her shelf, starting a new trend for brides everywhere! And Kelly visits with a new pony at the farm.

Bridal Bootcamp!! Showing us their muscles Paula, Vanessa and Hailey.

As the group shot was being taken Jen and I were taking candid shots of the girls.

Drummond the lucky guy! He was the girls “groom” for the day!

Lisa {Candid Bride} behind the wheel…We may have to have words about this later!! Brandi {Diva Bride} and Kerri {Regal Bride} love this shot of them!

The girls in the bucket.

Shoe shot shocker!

Ladies you’ll be fine as long as you don’t touch this lever. This one right here…

The girls are havin’ funnnn!

Until the “lever” is accidentally pushed and suddenly brides are falling from the sky. Everyone is fine, I think we were all in a bit of shock!

See all is good, smiles and giggles for Sam {Playful Bride} and Kelly {Vintage Bride} all the way back to the barn.

Thanks so much ladies you are all so gorgeous and it was great meeting and catching up with all of you!

Rustic Style || Vancouver Wedding Photographers

August 3, 2010 by Daydream

Our final shoot for the book Eye Candy was Rustic style.  We met up with Amanda at Stewart Farm in Surrey.  Amanda is a hair and makeup artist so she came all ready to go, and she looked beautiful!  The bouquet that Lisa put together for the shoot was right in with the theme.  From the natural rustic colours of the flowers to the willow branches that were throughout, it was just perfect.

Stewart Farm is fantastic for taking photos. There are so many locations to choose from as well there are usually not very many people here, so it feels like you have the place to yourselves.  We were lucky to have Amanda’s daughter, Taylor, to stand in as a flower girl in this shoot.  She did such a great job!!  I think we could have shot here all evening, but all good things must come to an end.  Here are a few of our favorites from the shoot.

When we do our shoots, we love to capture the behind the scenes.

This was our cue to leave….the wind picked up and we were down wind to the rustic country smell.

If only this was a scratch and sniff photo!!

Really nice work ladies – I love this location!

Bold Style || Vancouver Wedding Photographers

August 1, 2010 by Daydream

Wooohooo shoot #8 and we’re going Bold! It’s been so great being creative for these photo shoots for Lisa Gregory we have shot in our first choice locations up until this shoot! But that’s what happens in the real world, we have to think on the fly and change our vision at the last moment. New ideas, a dress borrowed from a fantabulous bride of ours Jenny G, a bouquet picked from Scarlett’s garden (thanks again Scarlett!!), Amy’s making the bouquet while Jen’s driving and tada we’re downtown taking some great photos of Rebecca.

Scarlett gave Rebecca a dark but brilliant smoky eye with a plum lip. and piled her hair with curls accented with a gorgeous flower and feather hair piece from Jeweliette. She also dazzled with some stunning jewellery from Jeweliette, the cuff bracelet and pendant earrings by local designer Elsa Corsi. A super special thanks on this shoot to one of our brides this year, Jenny G who loaned us her wedding dress for this shoot! We added some blue ribbon around the waist and it’s a different look.

Rebecca has that great serious smoldering look but come on what a smile!!

The landmark of Vancouver the Woodward’s W. Kind of reminds us of Vegas!

Okay this wall was just waiting for us!

A shoe shot…Not much of a surprise for us right?!!

Rebecca did a cultural crawl and remembered this great location near all these artists studios. Jen and I had never seen it before but will probably be back for more photos!!

Scarlett showing her talents! Thank you for all of your awesome work!!
Jen with our giant reflecting frisbee, it goes where we go!

I didn’t think I was much of a shoe girl until I started reading your blog…apparently, I’ve just been looking at the wrong shoes!

Thanks for opening my eyes.

Gorgeous photos, as always, Ladies.

Whimsical Style || Vancouver Wedding Photographers

July 29, 2010 by Daydream

Our photo shoot of Whimsical Style for Lisa Gregory’s soon to be released Eye Candy Book was so much fun! Marnie was a recent bride of both Lisa and ours. Lisa planned and created a beautiful wedding for Marnie and Alex on July 10th, 2010. I met this lovely couple when I designed their wedding invitations and other stationery items for the big day.

We decorated one little section of Queens Park in New Westminster and on a very small budget any bride could do this! Jen and I love to incorporate props into our shoots, wedding, engagement, family…it just adds to the texture and layering of the photo. Hanging streamers {thank you Sam!}, blowing bubbles and throwing glitter {I think I still have some in my hair!!} and photographing Marnie was a great way to spend a summer evening. Their adorable dog Clyde {doesn’t he look like a Clyde?!} made a special appearance and really how could we not take some photos of him?!

This has been my favourite bouquet that Lisa has supplied us with so far! We added some ribbons to match the theme and voila: Stunning! Jen kept the makeup glimmery, glittery and gorgeous. Thank YOU Marnie for enduring the thousands of little bugs that were in the park, tulle is a wondrous bug catcher!!

Ah Clyde, the perfect wedding day accessory!

A white wedding gown with a stunning bouquet filled with colour. Eye Candy indeed!

There was just enough of a breeze to wave the streamers in the wind. Loooooove this photo shoot!

A dash of Glitter + a colourful Pinwheel + sparkly Stella and Dot Jewellery = Whimsical Style

Fierce Marnie, Fierrrrrrrce!!

As you’ve seen from our past shoots we like to have fun. Now this shoot deserves HUGE props to our friend Sam {and Playful Style Bride} for helping us hang the streamers in Queens Park. I know I couldn’t climb the tree, and without her help the photos wouldn’t have looked as stunning! Alex, Marnie’s new husband hung out with their dog Clyde during the shoot. And one of the best photos showing Jen behind the scenes, glitter mania!!

July 29th, 2010 - 2:08 pm Jenny H.

The glitter is magic!! I’m loving all of these Eye Candy shoots ladies! They really showcase how amazingly talented you both are!

Exotic Style || Vancouver Wedding Photographers

July 27, 2010 by Daydream

So with our next bridal style for Lisa Gregory’s Eye Candy Book, was Exotic and our minds wandered to the beaches of the Caribbean, Cuba and Thailand. But wait a minute, we were in the midst of one of the most beautiful June’s Vancouver had experienced in many years and we had a gorgeous bride, Hiba who was just married on June 19th to Dustin.

We wanted a beachy, natural look on Hiba and Jen did a fabulous job with her makeup, with Hiba’s naturally curly hair {lucky!} Jen added some orchids and we were off to Crescent Beach for sunset. Lisa gave us an incredible bouquet for this photo shoot, the oranges, yellows and greens were so vibrant along with the scattering of seashells made it look beautiful and tropical.

The sunset was stunning and Hiba had many admirers stoping on the boardwalk to watch her photo shoot. It was a very magical night as we lit an aisle of candles in lanterns. {Lots of fun with a bic lighter on a windy beach!} Thanks Hiba for showing us your amazing style once again!

The gorgeous Vancouver summer light and our beautiful bride Hiba.

The lanterns just add that little extra touch of sparkle to the photos, and we love sparkle!

LOVE this photo!

Hiba and Lisa. Lisa planned Hiba and Dustin’s wedding in June.

Moonlight, Crescent Beach and Hiba. Shazam: Amazing Photo!
