Stella and Dot jewellery featured in our Photos || Vancouver Wedding Photographers
August 13, 2010 by Daydream
We noticed a pattern when shooting our wedding styles for Lisa Gregory’s upcoming book. You may have noticed our love of shoes but the other thing we love is beautiful jewellery. If you haven’t heard of Stella and Dot yet let us introduce you to a few of our favourite pieces we used!
If you would like to order any of these pieces click on the photo or the link and you can order them directly from Jen who recently became a Stella and Dot stylist.
The Bloom Flower Ring. LOVE this ring!! Jen says everytime she wears it she gets compliments on it. Rebecca {Bold Bride} just purchased the same ring but in Ivory it too is gorgeous. Specially if you have an olive skin tone or a tan!!
Jamie and Kim came to their ReWear the Dress shoots totally prepared with Shoes and Jewellery…We knew we would love working with them! Pairing The Aimee Locket Necklace with her wedding dress, Jaime looked gorgeous and it gave the photos more of a vintage vibe.
A quick switch of the necklace and we loved the pop of colour and the heart charm on the Silk Charm Necklace & Bracelet Wrap.
Okay I just purchased this bracelet from Jen and it’s one of my favourites! Dress it up or down the Bardot Spiral Bangle worked
beautifully with the Whimsical theme.
This looks like a bold necklace but the part that softens it is the pink ribbon that you can tie in a knot or a bow and let the ends hang down. The Colette Necklace looked stunning on Marnie and went perfect with the ribbons used in her hair.
Paula added the La Coco Brooch to a three strand of pearls and it looked amazing. This jewellery line is fantastic because of it’s versatility. This flower is a brooch and it attaches the necklace. Am-a-zing.
Finally, Scarlett our makeup artist, and Stella stylist, is wearing the Foundation Bracelet. I love the colour in this piece!
Well that’s it for the jewellery wrap up! If you would like to book a trunk show with Jen {click here}!
It’s just like Tupperware only you can wear it with your favourite outfit!

Gowns Galore! || Vancouver Wedding Photographers
August 5, 2010 by Daydream
So the grand meet up of present and past brides of Lisa Gregory Special Events and some of our models from the Eye Candy photo shoots happened the other weekend and we don’t think we’ve seen so many wedding dresses in one place other than a bridal store! All of the ladies looked fantastic and as the sun set in the field, {that Robyn’s grandfather let us use for the photos. Robyn was a past bride of Lisa’s and I did her wedding invites!} little did we know this was going to be an eventful night…

Okay Sam {Playful Bride} and Kerri {Regal Bride} we should have known we were in trouble with this first shot!

Sam takes a rest on her shelf, starting a new trend for brides everywhere! And Kelly visits with a new pony at the farm.

Bridal Bootcamp!! Showing us their muscles Paula, Vanessa and Hailey.

As the group shot was being taken Jen and I were taking candid shots of the girls.

Drummond the lucky guy! He was the girls “groom” for the day!

Lisa {Candid Bride} behind the wheel…We may have to have words about this later!! Brandi {Diva Bride} and Kerri {Regal Bride} love this shot of them!

The girls in the bucket.

Shoe shot shocker!

Ladies you’ll be fine as long as you don’t touch this lever. This one right here…

The girls are havin’ funnnn!

Until the “lever” is accidentally pushed and suddenly brides are falling from the sky. Everyone is fine, I think we were all in a bit of shock!

See all is good, smiles and giggles for Sam {Playful Bride} and Kelly {Vintage Bride} all the way back to the barn.
Thanks so much ladies you are all so gorgeous and it was great meeting and catching up with all of you!

Rustic Style || Vancouver Wedding Photographers

Our final shoot for the book Eye Candy was Rustic style. We met up with Amanda at Stewart Farm in Surrey. Amanda is a hair and makeup artist so she came all ready to go, and she looked beautiful! The bouquet that Lisa put together for the shoot was right in with the theme. From the natural rustic colours of the flowers to the willow branches that were throughout, it was just perfect.
Stewart Farm is fantastic for taking photos. There are so many locations to choose from as well there are usually not very many people here, so it feels like you have the place to yourselves. We were lucky to have Amanda’s daughter, Taylor, to stand in as a flower girl in this shoot. She did such a great job!! I think we could have shot here all evening, but all good things must come to an end. Here are a few of our favorites from the shoot.

When we do our shoots, we love to capture the behind the scenes.

This was our cue to leave….the wind picked up and we were down wind to the rustic country smell.
If only this was a scratch and sniff photo!!

Playful Style || Vancouver Wedding Photographers

What a fun day! When we were at Ivory Bridal looking at dresses for this shoot we fell in love with the long cascading dresses but this short flirty dress just said Playland and Sam wore it beautifully. For those keeping track, this is shoot #3 for a special feature in Lisa Gregory’s soon to be published book Eye Candy. Sam and Sam {very easy to remember!} were are Playful bride and groom and were else do you get the perfect photos for this photo story? Playland in Vancouver!
Jen and I {and most of our family} have worked at the PNE and we’re back again this season shooting at Empire Field for the BC Lions so walking around the fair grounds shooting we felt right at home. We wanted the makeup to be fresh, young and light so Scarlett Ballantyne gave Sam a glittery eye and curls for days. Awesome Again!! Dunn’s Tailors gave Sam a great suit, and ties. It’s so easy for the bride and bridesmaids to show their style through accessories and shoes {LOVE Sam’s pink shoes}, guys take note the turn cuff of Sam’s shirt and the purple or green tie made his suit. Without that it would have just been an ordinary suit, these made it uniquely him.
A bright red candy apple favour for your guests and the day was done. {Really done, the employees practically ran out of there at 7:00!!} But one more shot as we saw the ice cream truck across the street. Thanks Sam, Sam, Lisa, Scarlett and Michelle. Summer finally feels like it is here and what a great way to start it off!
