I love details at a wedding. I’ve been looking on Pinterest lately and there are some gorgeous dance floors at weddings. As a photographer this just makes the photos even more unique and the beautiful lighting is magical.

It was our first Sunny day in July and Stanley Park was packed! Nicole and Riadh were married in Paris and came to Vancouver for a family reception at the Fish House in Stanley Park. The day was beautiful, Nicole looked stunning, in a dress she designed, and Riadh charmed all of us. They were only here for a few days after the wedding before they headed home to Dubai.

I said, “okay you’re going back to palm trees, you have to get some photos with our West Coast trees!”

I love Nicole’s bouquet. The peonies were perfect and all the different shades of pink were gorgeous.

They just have a classic elegance to them. Plus they laugh a lot together that just makes me smile on a wedding day.

Sex and the City feet with Glass Slippers…All girls get that right?

Pale pinks were the colour of choice. Since they were married in Paris I added the Eiffle Tower to the invitation, the favour boxes had wax seals with their initals stamped in. The most delicious chocolate truffles were inside to the delight of the guests.

I loved the fireworks that Ridah and Nicole had for their cake. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before!

As the sun set we took a few more photos around Stanley Park. How can you really pass up this view?!

We were keeping our fingers crossed for some non-rainy weather for Ashlee and Chris’s wedding day. We kinda got everything, some sunshine, clouds and just at the end of photos it started to rain so a few quick ones and we were all in the limo! It was a beautiful wedding and I was able to catch up with Ashlee’s mom Colleen, we used to work with each other back in the day, at the reception. Everyone looked fabulous and ‘lemmie tell you, this bridal party can get some air! {oh you’ll see.}

Little Flower Girl Lily with her milk and mom’s coffee. Getting everyone ready to go.

There are so many things I love about the dad walking his daughter down the aisle. Brian looks so happy and proud, this photo just makes me smile!

I love that all the guys had DC Shoes to wear while we took photos {with purple laces to go with the wedding colours}. No slippery shoes for them.

Foot race to the door with another bridal party. We won.

Those are some pretty cool shoes on everyone.

Even with mustaches the girls still look gorgeous.

This is why I LOVE Ashlee: She said to me that she didn’t want the typical locations for her wedding photos. I did throw in Steveston {sorta normal} and then I took them to a shipping yard just down the street from their reception. When they got out of the car I remember the guys saying “this is so cool!” Done and done.

Okay Chris is a Huge BC Lions fan and at the first game in the new stadium they handed out 50,000 orange pom poms. Ashlee you found an awesome guy, he picked up 5 of them for some photos on the wedding day, cause they matched their wedding colours.

I loved their logo: Go LIONS!! All the candy in their colours as well awesome.

Gorgeous cake, with gumballs at the bottom, really can you get better than that?

Ashlee serving up the first piece of cake to one of her friends.

Congratulations Ashlee and Chris. {and one more time, smoking monkey!}
