Courtney + Bryce = ENGAGED! || Vancouver Wedding Photographer

Courtney, Bryce and I met up at Lighthouse Park for thier engagement session last weekend. This park has a special story for them, it’s where Bryce proposed to Courtney last year. They told me the story as we walked down to the rock where the big question was asked and where Burrard Inlet was to our East and the  Straight of Georgia was to the West. I’ve never been to the park before and when it’s a beautiful day at the top of the park, sheltered by the trees, there can be a different story unfolding down by the water with the white caps and gale force winds! But that’s what makes the photos and laughter so much fun.

Courtney and Bryce are getting married in Vancouver in August and I’m so excited to take even more photos of them! The wedding is going to be amazing! Check out some of my favorites…

Another reason why I heart this couple, they brought champagne and glasses.
Bryce says he loves to watch Courtney open these bottles, much laughter ensued!

Okay, no tears were shed during out shoot, but the wind did make it seem so.

Style Me Pretty Blog || Vancouver Wedding Photographer

After attending the Cinderella Bridal Show on the weekend I realized how many brides in the Lower Mainland don’t know about my very favourite blogs and websites! I thought before the busy wedding season starts {and it looks like it’s going to be a busy one} I would give you a quick run down on a few of my faves.

First up is Style Me Pretty. Filled with beautiful photos and DIY projects that will make your wedding guests wonder where you came up with these amazing ideas. As a photographer and invitation designer I kind of describe myself as someone who has creative ideas with A.D.D. give me a topic and I’ll think of a bunch of ideas! I think that’s because I L.O.V.E. seeing details of each couple at their wedding. We can go to a bunch of weddings in our lifetimes but maybe only a few will stand out in our memories…Make one of those yours!

Fellas, I’ll apologize now that your ladies will be absent for a few hours, ’cause this blog is, well, virtual bliss and can kind of make the time stand still when you’re planning a wedding! You’ll get a bunch of ideas and make sure you follow the links in the stories if you like the photos. That’s how I find other sites I’ll feature in the next few days. I find that in Canada we kind of look to the States for shopping and whatnot, they really focus on businesses in North America so it’s a perfect example of new vendors and ideas for your big day. Enjoy and let me know if you enjoy the site!
