The weather has finally changed for the better and it was time for my first wedding of the season. Joey and Kirsten are well let’s face it, so much in love and a dream to photograph. A backyard wedding with family and close friends in attendance was the order of the day and with only the phrase “where are my socks” ringing in our ears I would say it was picture perfect. Here are just a few of my favourites.

A few details before the wedding starts, Scarlett Ballantyne made the girls {and Joey} look gorgeous. I think we were all in love with the tent and chandelier, and the cake! Oh the cake that was not supposed to “slip” in the car, but dang that gravity! Mom to the rescue and the cake looked fab.

Grooms take note, one min you may be sweeping the dance floor before your wedding, the next you’ll be in your tux ready to walk down the aisle! Joey you cleaned up great!

I LOVE this photo Joanna captured of Kirsten’s mom looking at her in her wedding dress.
They were so cute saying “no don’t look at me you’ll make me cry!”

Okay this ceremony will go down as one of my favourites and one that had the most memorable lines,
“Joey would you place the ringer on Kirsten’s finger.”

I think this is my fave photo of the day. We’re so lucky to live in BC, where we can step from the forest to the beach in five minutes. Love it!

I love these two! Here’s our two views, Joanna’s on the left and mine on the right!

Kirsten you are absolutely stunning.

So it was very important for Joey and Kirsten to get married on June 25, that date didn’t work out locally so they did the next best thing. A little secret wedding in Disney World. They kept it quiet from most of their guests and then announced it after dinner, everyone was so happy and it just added an extra little sparkle to the day.

Okay we know the shoe game, but I’ve never seen audience members play along!
Joey’s dad, Frank, raised his shoe when the question was asked who do you think will change the diapers when you have kids?

Oh the camera. I don’t know who brought it but it made the rounds.
It looked real but when you tried to take a photo it gave you a shock. I want one!!!

Best first dance ever.
