What a magical wedding day. Hiba and Dustin were married on June 19th at Northview Golf course and Lisa Gregory Special Events created a day that they will be able to remember for the rest of their lives. Jen and I were there to capture the details of the day for Lisa’s soon to be published book “Eye Candy”. Details is what Lisa Gregory and her team shine at. It’s the little things on your grand day that you remember, that your guests remember and that makes your wedding unique to you.
From the love notes that were delivered to each other with their boutonniere and bouquet to the breathtaking transformation of the Northview Clubhouse every detail was carefully planned by Lisa. She took on a new decor challenge this wedding, working with moss…This not only looked amazing, incredible and and spectacular outside, when the guests moved inside for the reception they were transported into a garden atmosphere with lush greenery, willow branches and flowers that colour added a vibrant punch to the room. I talked to Lisa the night before the wedding and she soon found out she was very allergic to moss, breaking out in hives! So I understood why she donned rubber gloves while setting up the reception any time she went near the moss! But I think the hives were worth it the room was a buzz with people talking, the staff of Northview and the guests had never seen a room like this before.

This shot of Hiba is one of my favourites. Before she gets out of the car at Northview, it’s just a moment stopped in time.

Seriously could this little guy be any cuter? He had the most beautiful blue eyes!! After Hiba and Dustin had signed the registry and were standing in the gazebo I was snapping some shots and standing next to them, when guests starting blowing bubbles, she said “oh my god, bubbles! I wanted bubbles!!” It’s like Lisa Gregory can read her brides minds and make things happen!

At the end of the ceremony Hiba and Dustin, the bridal party and their families were all given small triangle boxes and told not to open them until they were told to. Then they all opened them at once to reveal beautiful monarch butterflies. Lisa said, “The fragility and wondrous beauty of a butterfly symbolizes a new life after a period of transformation. As Hiba and Dustin begin their new life together a very special butterfly release has been arranged for their families to help inspire them as they set off to experience a fascinating journey as husband and wife.”

Congratulations Hiba and Dustin!
