Do you use iPhone apps to plan your Wedding? || Vancouver Wedding Photographers

Well it’s on my list but I’m stuck in one of those, you know, contracts… But next on my list of things to buy is an iPhone. I can’t imagine how much I’ll blog, tweet, and facebook when that time comes!

In the meantime I do browse the app. store from time to time and I was surprised how many wedding apps there were. 261 apps are listed, 81 of those being free apps. They range in price from .99¢ all the way up to $29.99 {ouch!}

Here are two that I thought looked kind of cool.

For the guys:

For the girls:

Are there any apps you are currently using to plan your wedding? Let us know!

Hailey invites you… || Vancouver Wedding Invitation Designer

Hailey is to young for a wedding invitation but she’s not to young to invite you to her second birthday!

I think it will be a few years ’till I design her wedding invitations, but I loved designing her Alice in Wonderland Birthday invites! All the best birthday wishes to Hailey!

Jenny and Tim are getting married! || Vancouver Wedding Invitation Designer

Jenny and Tim are getting married this June and the invitations are out! Tim loves vintage cars and hot rods so to add to their custom invitations he had a friend draw the heart graphic in a car pinstripe design. SWEET! They are also getting married above Mario’s Gelati and Jenni’s favourite ice cream flavour just happens to be mint chocolate chip. So what better marker for the wedding on the map is an ice cream cone! I love it when couples can add personal touches to their invitations.

The best surprise we had for Tim was the closing sticker for the envelope I designed. I took the Hot Wheels logo and added their names and wedding date and Voila! Instant AWESOME! We then added it to the RSVP card, to make it a bit more slick on the back.

We can’t wait to shoot their wedding and engagement photos!

Congratulations Tim and Jenny!

Movies to Inspire Wedding Themes || Vancouver Wedding Photographers

As most of you know I love reading blogs and I love this idea from Green Wedding Shoes. As much as I love reading blogs I love watching movies and UP was one of my favourites last year. Taking inspiration from the movies we like is a fantastic idea and like Jen said in the post “you don’t need (or want to be) too literal.”

I think you can find so many great ideas from films – so why not bring some of those fun ideas into your wedding?!

It is sweet and at parts sad, but has a really cute message. Quick synopsis – It’s about a couple that meet when they are children and both share a love of adventure and exploring. They later marry and promise to go visit Paradise Falls when they save enough money. Unfortunately, Ellie (the wife) dies and they don’t get to make the trip. Carl decides to try and make the trip himself by tying thousands of balloons to his house and floating away. And an adventure begins…

What movie would you use to inspire your wedding theme?
