Amanda + Paul=Married!
September 6, 2009 by Daydream
When I was taking some detail shots at Amanda and Paul’s wedding I was able to sneak over to their ceremony to snap a few shots! Gorgeous as ever you can see the happiness just radiating from the two of them! These are just a few of my favourite photos.
The decor at the ceremony site on the Great Lawn in VanDusen Garden, was again done by the amazing Lisa Gregory Weddings.
Amanda and her mom just before they walked to the aisle. The lighting was beautiful that day!
MARRIED!!!

A thumbs up from the ring bearer. Too cute!
Congratulations Amanda and Paul! Hope you had a fantastic honeymoon!!

Amanda and Paul's Wedding Stationery
September 5, 2009 by Daydream
Well we’ve been posting a lot of photography and I thought it’s about time you saw some stationery I’ve worked on this summer!
One of my favourite things is when I can sit down with a couple (well in this case I met Paul at the wedding!!
) and we can start with the invitation design and go right through to the wedding details. When we do this we can create your own “wedding brand” so to speak. Creating a monogram, signature motif, using fantastic fonts, beautiful paper or adding embellishments make your invitations and wedding stationery unique and personal to you.
So we’ll start with the invitations!
LOVE the monochrome tone of this invitation set. Two crystals were adhered to the invitation to give it a bit more bling.
So now that the guests are invited we can move onto the wedding day!
Bringing the shine paper and the same font together with the graphic floral image ties everything together at the reception.
Yes we all know there are table numbers, but why not be CREATIVE?!! Amanda and Paul’s theme was Mint to Be and all of their table names were different kinds of mints. Such as Chocolate Mint, Breath Mints, Peppermints and Junior Mints. Brilliant!! Now for the names on the table… Amanda and I had a bunch of ideas but I give her the credit of finding the local caricature artist.
The decor was simply stunning and created by Lisa Gregory Events. The colours of the drapings and table covers matched the shine paper we used for the wedding details you couldn’t ask for a more beautiful room. My favourite were the centre pieces with the peacock feathers in them. FAB!
MMMMM how did I know Amanda and I would get along? When she said she was having a candy bar at her wedding! This was a huge hit with the guests and kept a sugar rush going and everyone dancing on the dance floor!
Custom wine labels for the bottles on each table.
The ceremony was outside at VanDusen Botanical Garden. I designed custom labels for water bottles. On the front had their Wedding Logo and names and on the back I had the Amount/Serving of a Happy Marriage.
So as you can see how you can carry the theme of your invitation through to your wedding details. Next you’ll see Robina and Don’s eco stationery!

Kristy + Travis = Engaged!
September 4, 2009 by Daydream
Kristy and Travis met us early last weekend for a fantastic engagement shoot at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby. Jen and I knew exactly where we wanted to shoot when we found out where this couple met. They met while working on a cruise ship so where do you take engagement photos? In a rowboat of course!! (While Jen and I tried to steer in a paddle boat, thank goodness no one was there to take our photo!!) They were immediately so relaxed and easy to work with which was great and we had so much fun together!
Here’s a just few of our favorite shots from the session!
Congratulations, and have a fantastic wedding in Mexico next week!!

Jenn + Colin = Engaged!
September 3, 2009 by Daydream
We had the absolute pleasure of meeting up with Jenn and Colin who are getting married next year in Vancouver, BC. We hit it off from the start and not only did we have a great time shooting Lynn Canyon Park, but they were also brave enough to walk into the cold, cold water of Lynn Creek! Here’s just a few of our favorite images from the shoot…
Jenn and Colin, we can’t wait for your wedding next year!

Robina + Don = Married!!
September 2, 2009 by Daydream
Jen and I were so excited to photograph Robina and Don’s wedding this year. I had spent time with Robina and Don designing their Wedding Invitations, and Stationery Details for their Wedding Day. Stay tuned for a special Stationery post from their wedding to come! Here are a few of our favourite images from their wedding, enjoy!
Robina looking so glam and ready to get married!
Robina and her Dad rockin’ his cowboy hat.
George the Ring Bearer was a Superstar all day.
We love the detail of the rose petals down the aisle for outdoor weddings.
And the newlyweds are off on Robina’s motorcycle!
We told Robina and Don to work it for the camera. As you can see that was no problem for them!
And they danced the night away!
